The Life Skills Progression (LSP)
This effective tool, which takes about five-10 minutes to complete, measures parental life-skills — abilities, behaviors, and attitudes that help a family achieve a healthy and self-sufficient level of functioning. The LSP’s 35 included life-skills address:
- Relationships and support systems
- Education
- Employment
- Health and medical care
- Substance use/abuse
- Access to basic essentials
When completed sequentially every six months, the LSP is also able to measure progress in eight important areas of a child’s development.
